Dr. Megan R. Stanford, OD

Now we would like you to meet our Optometrist, Dr. Megan. Dr. Megan Stanford was raised in Olive Branch, MS and graduated from Olive Branch High School in 2006 as Salutatorian of her class. She received a full scholarship to attend University of Memphis, where she was an active member in Phi Mu and the study abroad program. Dr. Megan completed a semester abroad in the United Kingdom, where her grandmother was born and raised. After completing a degree in Biology, Dr. Megan continued to achieve her Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry. While at SCO, Dr. Megan was very active as President of the Lions Club and VP of Student Government Association. After graduating, she joined Dr. Stephen in San Antonio where she worked in a private practice with three locations. Dr. Megan is thankful to be back in North Mississippi and is very appreciative of the support Tippah County has shown of her practice! While you’re in the office you might see some or all of their children running around- Lucy, Lily, and Clarence. She loves her young patients, and she can do eye exams on babies, toddlers, kids of all ages. Some of her favorite patients while practicing in Texas were children! It is a common misunderstanding that children cannot have an eye exam until they know their letters, but there are other means we can check their prescription and the health of their eyes.
